In case you have been wondering why we haven't been in the headlines so often recently, it's because we have been so busy making our new progressive suite for the Treasure Island project of Colossus Ry. We just got the drum track recorded in only two days, which is half the time we had estimated. Indeed, it went so fast that some parts had to be slowed down!
Merry Christmas etc. to everybody!

Our suite Lords And Knights was played yesterday in Rock Fm. We've heard from a reliable source that it will be played again on Wednesday at 22:00. You can listen to it as a livestream from their internet site if you don't happen to be in Belgium.

Belgian radio station Rock Fm is going to broadcast every suite on the Colossus Of Rhodes double CD starting from 3rd of July.

Did some surfing in the internet and found some interesting things. Firstly, it says at http://www.musicbaramadeus.fi that we indeed have a gig in Tampere 29.12.2004, so I guess it's true. I think it's time to write some more news, before people start thinking we're dead or broken up...
The Colossus Of Rhodes double CD in which we participated won't be out until January due to delays in printing. While waiting read our interview in the next issue of Colossus magazine that will be out in December. We have also agreed to compose a suite for Colossus Ry's next project Treasure Island.
We have heard vague rumours telling that we would be performing live in Tampere in the end of December, but we don't know for sure. If someone knows more about this issue, please inform us. Also knowledge of any other gigs that we might be having is welcome (we are already aware of that gig in Bar Mary 8th of December, thank you...)

Our 25 minute suite for the Colossus Of Rhodes-project was finally completed yesterday evening couple hours before the deadline. Now we are just waiting for Christmas when the double CD will be out...

The gigs in Puistobileet (Porvoo) and in Meijerirock are now over, thanks for all those courageous people who came to listen to us in the rain. The Colossus Of Rhodes-project is also well on the way and the recordings of our track will be finished in the following weeks in the Background Ranch.

We agreed to participate in the Colossus Of Rhodes-project organized by The Finnish Progressive Music Association Colossus. The project is based on the Sergio Leone film "Il Colosso Di Rodi" (1961).

Well, now it looks like that we can make it to Turkoosi 19.6 anyway. We DIDN'T make it to Porvoo yesterday because it rained all day. I think I'd better stop writing these news about our gigs because they seem to be harder to predict than the weather...

Tonight Velvet Desperados will perform live in a park in Kamppi. This time we'll have to do with slightly lighter equipment than usually, so at least it's going to be different. I hope it won't rain.
